Install Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at 3 locations with 10 charging heads. EV adoption is growing steadily as measured by EV charging station data collected by the city. This proposal responds to a strong demand from residents who have indicated a need for more publicly available EV chargers.

At approximately 1:45 this afternoon a Cambridge Police Department Youth Resource Officer assigned to Cambridge Rindge and Latin School accidentally discharged their firearm while using a staff bathroom inside the school. There were no injuries. The officer immediately notified department supervisors and the school administration. CPD then responded to the scene and are currently investigating. The school day was not disrupted and there were no other injuries.

Can a robot be a friend? Can a robot help do your chores? An educator from the Museum of Science leads Robot Storytime to explore these questions through an original story. After the story, participants can interact with a robot dog! This program will happen twice. Come to either the 10:30 AM or 11:30 AM session. No registration required. Recommended for ages 0-7 with a caregiver.

Come and learn about your rights as a tenant along with Cambridge resources that support renters! In this workshop, you will hear from attorneys from Cambridge and Somerville Legal Services and the City of Cambridge's Office of the Housing Liaison. This a hybrid event. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event. We will be providing interpretation in Spanish and Haitian Creole on location during the event. The City of Cambridge can provide you with an interpreter for free. The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, 2025, due to scheduled community events including the VIVA CENTRAL Block Party, the CEOC 60th Anniversary Celebration, and the 40th Annual Harvard Square MayFair.

People of all ages who enjoy children's books can read and discuss together. Food will be provided. This month we will be reading and discussing Magnolia Wu Unfolds it All by Chanel Miller. Join us for a high energy comedy yo-yo show. For children of all ages and their caregivers. This program will be outdoors and will move indoors in the case of inclement weather.
