Join us for a book discussion and hangout each month as we read books that celebrate the LGBTQIA+ experience. All readers age 10-13 welcome! Registration is required. Hand Embroidery will cover an assortment of basic embroidery stitches that can be used to embellish your clothing and hide (or highlight!) holes and stains! Leave class with a sampler of embroidery stitches you can refer back to, along with knowledge of tools, materials, and techniques for stitching up embroidered designs. Suitable for beginners with little or no embroidery experience, or those who want a refresher on the basics.

This event has been cancelled. Please join us for another walk on June 18. Join guide Stefanie Haug while exploring our neighborhood nature and history. As a group we'll connect with and explore the neighborhood mindfully with a gentle walk and draw on contemplative practices. What to bring: layered clothing, comfortable shoes and water. Where to meet: At the Collins Branch entrance. Registration is requested but not required.

Ever wanted to be on a game show? Love friendly competition? Kids ages 7 to 11, now's your chance, right here at the O'Neill Branch! Each time we meet, we'll be playing a different game "show" based on family favorites like Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, Trivia, or Bingo. Come test your knowledge, try your luck, and see who are the champions of the day! Snacks will be provided.

Back by popular demand! Join the Friends of the Cambridge Public Library for their used book sale! They'll be selling gently used children’s and adult fiction and nonfiction books at low prices to benefit the Cambridge Public Library. The book sale will be held on June 7-8 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at 20 Holyoke Street. Funds from the sales will be used to support Library programs.
