Community Benefits Funding

Several publications on local history and neighborhood development are available for research or purchase. No purchase is necessary to view the books; office copies of all the books are available for reference at the Commission library. Many of these books are also available at the Cambridge Public Library.
Understanding Public Accepted and Private Unaccepted Ways
Generally, streets that have been accepted by City Council are referred to as public streets or ways. All other streets are referred to as private/unaccepted. For more information on acceptance and maintenance please refer to Massachusetts General Laws Chapters 82, 83, and 84.
