In this class, Cambridge Public Library staff will teach you how to look for books, films, and other resources available in the catalog. We will review how to perform basic and advanced searches, learn how to log in to your account with your library card, and better understand all of the formats and locations available in the catalog. Attendees should be comfortable using the computer and navigating the Internet independently, but no prior knowledge of the catalog is needed. Registration is required.

If you’ve always wanted to try growing your own fresh veggies, join Cambridge City Growers to hear how some neighbors are growing in the city, even without access to land.

Calling all bakers for a cake potluck! Make a cake and come bring it to share with others. Everyone will go home with slices of different cakes to sample. Various baking and cake cookbooks are available for pickup at the Branch.

World Space Week runs October 4-10, 2025. Celebrate with an after school activity. Supplies will be provided to design your own galaxy or solar system. Recommended for ages 4-10 with a caregiver.

April Selection: One Pot, Pan, Planet: A Greener Way to Cook for You and Your Family by Anna Jones. Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join. Books will be available for pick up at the Boudreau and Collins Branches during library hours. This event will take place indoors at the Boudreau Branch (245 Concord Ave). Bring the extra garden seeds you don't think you will plant this year! See what your neighbors have before you purchase more! We will have envelopes and pens to help keep them straight. If you don't have seeds, come anyway, as we will have extras. This event is co-hosted by Cambridge City Growers, a group of volunteers across Cambridge working to start up gardens in neighborhoods to increase access to healthy, organic, and locally grown food.

Kids in 6th, 7th and 8th grade can come to the Library to make signs celebrating graduating Upper Schoolers! Snacks provided. No registration necessary.

The community potluck returns after being delayed due to the February blizzard. Bring a savory dish to share as we celebrate spring and community. We'll provide a hot fudge sundae bar, popsicles, cups, plates, napkins, and cutlery.
