Cambridge Community Preservation Act Committee Seeks Project Requests for funding in areas of Housing, Historic Preservation, and Open Space and Recreation
The City of Cambridge Community Preservation Act (CPA) Committee will meet virtually on Wednesday, June 9, at 5:30 p.m. to receive project requests for FY22 funding. Each year, the CPA Committee recommends funding for affordable housing, historic preservation, open space, and recreation initiatives throughout the city. Recommendations can be submitted at the June 9 meeting or online from June 9 through July 14, 2021.
Tween Comic Book Club
Let’s talk about your favorite comics! Bring in a graphic novel and share your thoughts on why it’s great – or even why it’s terrible. Each month will feature a different reading challenge – you get to pick any comic that you think matches the theme! Celebrate comics with snacks, books, and maybe even the chance to make one yourself! This month’s theme, bring in your favorite comic and tell us why you love it. Snacks are provided. Drop by the Central Square Branch's Lewis Room to color and chat with your neighbors. Coloring supplies and snacks will be provided. CPL Nature Club: Cloud & Nature Walk (Boudreau)
Join us as we take a walk to enjoy the natural wonders of spring and learn about clouds. We will get to know some spring birds, look for early flowers and leaf buds, and see how many different types of clouds we can identify! This event is open to all ages. The walk will be on a wheelchair-accessible paved footpath in Danehy Park. Registration for this event is required; register below. The meeting spot for this event will be sent to registrants via email.
