The Electrify Cambridge Summer Series are online information sessions about home electrification technology, electrifying 1-4 unit residential buildings, and electrifying large multifamily buildings. This session will include helpful information for both building owners and condo unit owners living in buildings with 1-4 units.

April Selection: One Pot, Pan, Planet: A Greener Way to Cook for You and Your Family by Anna Jones. Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join. Books will be available for pick up at the Boudreau and Collins Branches during library hours. This event will take place indoors at the Boudreau Branch (245 Concord Ave). Join us for a virtual Death Cafe - an evening of open, lively, and insightful discussion about death for adults aged 18 and older. While not a support group nor a venue for bereavement, a Death Cafe seeks to provide an unscripted, non-judgmental platform for those wishing to explore the many facets of this often taboo subject. Facilitated by Richard Davis, a long time Death Cafe organizer and hospice volunteer. Come with an open mind, a healthy curiosity, and a willingness to share your thoughts, feelings, and questions with other like-minded individuals. This is a virtual event on Zoom. Space is limited. A changing climate means that winters in Massachusetts are getting weird. Hear from some of Cambridge's sustainability experts on the ways climate change is affecting our winter weather -- and how to best prepare your home or apartment for colder weather while saving money. Questions from attendees are highly encouraged! This event will be hosted at the Main Library and livestreamed for remote attendees. Create your own scratch art tiles. Begin with a black square and scratch a design to reveal the magical colors hidden beneath. Recommended for children ages 6-12 and their caregivers.

During Open Shop, anyone who has completed Hive training and is badged can reserve Hive equipment or studio spaces. Additionally, individuals are welcome to drop in to work on their projects independently. The Hive staff will assist with questions as they are able! New makers are also welcome to come in during open shop for a 10min drop in video safety training! Tool Reservations for this date will open two weeks prior from this date.
