Get creative after school! Become an interstellar pilot by folding the ultimate paper airplane: a spaceship! Select a decorated sheet and follow detailed folding instructions to craft your orbiter or star cruiser. Recommended for children ages 6-12 and their caregivers.

Bring your project and enjoy the company of other fiber crafters. Drop-in with this informal group to work on your craft, get inspired, pick up skills and socialize. Jacob Lavoie is a proud Cambridge resident, cheese lover, and the Program Director for Food & Wine at the Cambridge Center for Adult Education. With a background in wine and spirits, arts and culture, and lifelong learning, Jacob brings curiosity, creativity, and collaboration into the classroom. In this class, he invites students to explore the art of building a stunning and delicious cheese board perfect for entertaining or a cozy night in. Jacob will guide participants through selecting a balanced mix of cheeses, charcuterie, and flavorful accompaniments while sharing tips for thoughtful pairings, visual composition, and crowd-pleasing presentation. Students will leave with practical techniques they can use for future gatherings, celebrations, or weeknight treats, along with inspiration for wine pairings to elevate the experience. The class concludes with a communal tasting of cheese and charcuterie.

Celebrate Women's History Month by crafting a clothespin doll. Use simple materials to decorate a wooden clothespin in honor of a historical woman. Recommended for children ages 6-12 and their caregivers.

Young people ages 10 to 14 who love to write are welcome to share their ideas and writing. There will be time for share-outs/workshopping, as well as group or solo writing. Snacks are provided! This week we will be joined by guest author Kate McGovern. If you are attending for the first time, registration is helpful, but not required.

Practice your Spanish language skills in a friendly group setting! Please note, this is not a class, but rather an informal conversation group. This group is best for speakers with knowledge of basic vocabulary, comprehension skills, and the ability to form sentences. Speakers at an advanced beginner to intermediate level or higher are encouraged to join. All ages welcome. No registration required.

Join us for an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class! This class will be taught at a beginner level. No testing is needed. Everyone is welcome. Learn how to create beautiful and colorful acrylic paintings! In this class you will be introduced to painting with acrylic, including techniques in color mixing, observational painting, and composition. At your own pace you will learn how to paint still lifes using acrylic paint in a relaxed and welcoming environment. This class will cover wet on wet and wet and dry brush techniques, sgraffito/combing, overlays/glazing, gel mediums, pattern making, and masking. You will come away from this class with beautiful paintings of your own and a greater understanding and appreciation for the medium of acrylic painting. This class is suitable for beginners and can be adjusted for all levels of experience. Registration is Required.
