[CANCELLED] Wellness for Older Adults: Tai Chi Paradigm - Intermediate (Main)
Join us in this twelve-week Tai Chi Paradigm practice, which focuses on the mind and body connection. Tai Chi is a fluid sequence of movements choreographed in a low impact routine. Sifu Mynor Diaz has been learning and teaching Tai Chi classes for over 20 years. This is an in-person event at the Main Library. Due to the popularity of Sifu Diaz's classes, we expect participants to attend all sessions and participation in this program will be decided by lottery. To enter the lottery, please register for the waitlist below. This waitlist will constitute the pool from which 15 names will be drawn randomly. Registration will open Wednesday, February 5 at 9AM and close Wednesday, February 19 at 5PM. Participants selected will be notified on Saturday, February 22. CANCELLED: Songs, Stories, and Conversation in Mandarin (Valente)
The Saturday, May 24 event has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience; please register and join us on June 14. Join us for an hour of songs, stories, and social meet-up in Mandarin Chinese with JingJing and Chelsea, two local mothers and educators. This fun and interactive session brings families together in a warm, welcoming environment. This event is for children and their caregivers. In the first half, listen to engaging stories and sing lively songs. In the second half, children will do an activity, and everyone will have an opportunity to socialize.
Collins Branch Book Group (Boudreau/Virtual)
This month's selection: How I Won a Nobel Prize by Julius Taranto. While Collins is closed for construction, this book group will meet virtually and in person at the Boudreau Branch. Please register below if you would like to attend via Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants one hour before the event. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
