It's a reading adventure at Donnelly Field! Walk around the field to read all of the pages in “The Rabbit Listened” and “Turtle Splash!"

Join us for activities celebrating the theme of "Plant a Seed, Read" all summer long. Today's activity is Origami Peace Cranes. Learn to fold a paper crane: a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times. Recommended for children ages 6-12 and their caregivers. Please join the Cambridge Public Library and the American Repertory Theater for an afternoon of Wonder! To celebrate the much-anticipated new A.R.T. musical "Wonder," we'll be watching the 2017 movie adaptation of R.J. Palacio's book. Enjoy the movie on the big screen in our Lecture Hall, then browse our display of related books. All attendees will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for four free tickets to a performance of "Wonder" at the A.R.T.

In honor of Earth Day, spend your afternoon at the Library creating your own terrarium. In partnership with Emerald City Plant Shop, you will have the opportunity to learn more about different kind of plants and plant care. This event will be conducted in the front park area of the Library. In the case of rain, the class will be moved to the Rossi room. The Library will provide all needed supplies. There will be 2 timed sessions. Please make sure to choose the time that works best for you.

This event has been moved inside due to a chance of rain. Join us for STEAM activities for all ages outdoors at Valente's patio! This month we will be making winged-seed models to explore nature's seed dispersal strategies! In the case of weather complications, this program will be held inside.

We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for 20-25 minutes of fun and scary songs and stories for a late October treat! Feel free to wear your favorite cozy pajamas or a scary or fun costume! Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families.

Calling all bakers for a pie potluck! Make a pie and come bring it to share with others. Share recipes and samples of everyone's favorite fall snack. Various baking and pie cookbooks are available for pickup at the Branch.
