Youth ages 10-16 are welcome to join for four sessions of cooperative role-play and storytelling as we build out skills playing the table-top game DnD. The first session will include a character-building introduction followed by play continued into the next four sessions. No prior DnD experience is required, and experienced players are also welcome to join. Registration is required, as the program is capped at 8 players. Please plan to attend all sessions! Olivia Hoblitzelle will be speaking about her book Aging with Wisdom, along with an illustrated slideshow that weaves in themes such as seeing beauty in old age, the role of her spiritual practice, inspiring elders, and awakened consciousness. A question and answer period will follow.

Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Pizza will be provided. For ages 7-10 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is Hoops by Matt Tavares, a historical fiction graphic novel follows the story of a girl’s basketball team in the 1970’s as they fight for the same treatment that the boy’s team receives. Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, join us for a fantastic afternoon to celebrate Latin American voice and piano music, featuring the sopranos Hannah Shannefield and Isis Bermudez Rivera, countertenor Lucas Coura, tenor David Rivera Bozon and pianist Estefanía Nuñez Villamandos. It will be a fun, engaging and family friendly performance, including popular songs and pieces by Villa-Lobos, Ponce, Velazques, Lecuona, Calvo, and others. Registration is not required but preferred.

Training to be a teacher isn’t easy. Our Early Childhood Education (ECE) Career Training Program is designed to help people successfully complete their training and start a career in early childhood education.
