The Cambridge Housing Authority provides long-term rental housing and rental assistance. More than 10,000 low-income families, elders, and disabled individuals receive this assistance.

The City of Cambridge announced that, after consultation with the Cambridge Commissioner of Public Health and the Cambridge Public Health Department, masks will be required in all City buildings to protect the health and well-being of employees and visitors.

What's a zine? And how do I make one? Come find out! Kids are invited to explore making, copying, sharing, and swapping zines. Making zines will include activities like writing, drawing, and using a photocopier. For kids ages 7 and up. Snacks are provided! This week we will host guest artist Betsey Swardlick! Betsey Swardlick is a Providence-based cartoonist, teacher, and professional wrestler all struggling to live in the same body! WHO WILL WIN?? Betsey likes to make humorous comics about weirdos trying their best (or worst), fake newspapers, and assorted other multimedia spectacles.

Harvard Book Store, the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji—fourth President of the International Criminal Court, Distinguished International Jurist at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at the Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Special Advisor to the President of the University—for a discussion of his latest book End of Immunity: Holding World Leaders Accountable for Aggression, Genocide, War Crimes, and Crimes against Humanity. Cambridge welcomes immigrants and works to support their success and access to opportunity and advancement. CIRC acts as a centralizing organization in Cambridge to address immigrant rights and citizenship issues by providing information, referrals, and guidance to residents seeking assistance. CIRC also coordinates and collaborates with other city departments and external organizations and individuals that support immigrant rights and citizenship.

Hundreds of Cambridge residents have learned they were infected with COVID-19 or had been exposed to the new coronavirus after getting a call from public health nurses from the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD). Thousands more have received calls from CPHD staff informing them of negative test results.

On behalf of the City of Cambridge, Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and City Manager Louis DePasquale are extremely thankful to the Biogen Foundation for its $1 million donation to the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund.

Through this program, Electrify Cambridge will provide no-cost advising by technical specialists on all measures that can electrify a home or residential building. Those measures include heat pumps, solar panels, weatherization, water heaters, induction stoves, electric vehicle chargers, and more. Electrify Cambridge specialists will also help residents tap into all available state and federal incentives.
