The Cambridge community is invited to join the City's Department of Veterans' Services Saturday, May 27, at 9:30 a.m., at Cambridge Cemetery, 89 Coolidge Avenue, to decorate our Cambridge veterans’ graves. A formal observance will also be held on Monday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m., at Cambridge Common
Chile Eboe-Osuji Presents: End of Immunity (Main)
Harvard Book Store, the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School, and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Judge Chile Eboe-Osuji—fourth President of the International Criminal Court, Distinguished International Jurist at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at the Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Special Advisor to the President of the University—for a discussion of his latest book End of Immunity: Holding World Leaders Accountable for Aggression, Genocide, War Crimes, and Crimes against Humanity.

In advance of the holiday shopping season, the Cambridge Police Department expects reports of package thefts to increase over the coming weeks, particularly with more residents doing their shopping online.

Bitter Cold Weather is Coming. Information on Shelters, Winter Warming Center, Places to Stay Warm, and Extreme Cold Safety Tips
In anticipation of the extremely cold weather this weekend, the City of Cambridge is expanding capacity at shelters and offering important safety tips. The Winter Warming Center, located in the basement of 806 Massachusetts Ave. will be open on Saturday, Feb. 4. Libraries will also be open for regular hours over the weekend. Limit outdoor time for the whole family, including pets. If you go outside, dress in layers and cover exposed skin. Wear a hat and mittens (not gloves). Cover your mouth with a scarf to protect your lungs. When outside, stay active to maintain body heat and take frequent breaks from the cold.
