Remembering Together: Grief Support Group (Central Square)
The "Remembering Together" support group is for patrons who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Facilitated by the library social worker, this online group offers a safe and confidential online space for peers to come together, share common experiences and heal in community. A three-part webinar series designed to invest in your health, wellness, and longevity. Take fear and uncertainty out of the future by being prepared for changes in health. This session will cover topics and tips related to preparing for sudden changes and what you can do to minimize the impact of illness, such as advanced directives, emergency planning, and communication. Cambridge Savings Bank and DivcoWest Donate $50,000 to Support Summer Empowerment Program for Cambridge Youth. City Partners with My Brother's Keeper
This summer, My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Cambridge Task Force, in partnership with the City of Cambridge, launched a new Summer Empowerment Program for Cambridge youth. This program, which supported 50 young people in an interactive summer experience, was funded through $63,000 in City funds, $25,000 donated by Cambridge Savings Bank, and $25,000 donated by DivcoWest.

Harvard Book Store and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Dr. Stephen Greenblatt—Cogan University Professor of the Humanities at Harvard University, general editor of The Norton Anthology of English Literature, and the author of fourteen books including The Swerve, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award—for a discussion of his new book Dark Renaissance: The Dangerous Times and Fatal Genius of Shakespeare's Greatest Rival. He will be joined in conversation by Neel Mukherjee—author of four novels, including The Lives of Others, which was shortlisted for the Booker Prize. Registration is required.

CANCELED Drop-in Maker Studio (O'Neill)
Come to the Library to create something special! Use your own supplies or try out our equipment! You can use our 1-inch button maker, 2.5 inch button maker, 3-D Doodle pens, or Janome sewing machines. The Library will provide basic supplies. This drop-in program is for people who feel comfortable using these machines on their own. The Library will not provide instruction. Anyone wishing to use the sewing machines must have completed a Sewing 101 training through the Library. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
