Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Snacks will be provided. For ages 7-10 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is Little Monarchs by Jonathan Case, a graphic novel which imagines a future world where all life on earth has become allergic to the sun. Human survivors have moved underground, and it's up to 10-year-old Elvie to distribute a cure made from Monarch wing scales to save the world! (Content: dystopian themes, some action and violence, natural disasters) Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Youth ages 10+ are welcome to join us for a single session of cooperative storytelling and role-play table-top game Dungeons & Dragons. Youth who have never played are encouraged to Try it!, youth with DnD experience are welcome. No registration required. Calling all plant lovers! Add some green into your home! Bring your own plants to share propagules with others or come to pot a new plant baby for your home collection. We'll have a small collection of house plant propagules, along with soil and plastic planting containers. Attendees are welcome to bring their own pots as well.

Middle Schoolers and teens can visit the Library and help us decorate for Pride Month! We will have craft supplies and decorations to help us celebrate. No registration is required. Snacks will be provided.

Sifu Mynor Diaz has been learning and teaching Tai Chi classes for over 20 years. This is an in-person event at the Valente Library. Due to the popularity of Sifu Diaz's classes, we expect participants to attend all sessions and participation in this program will be decided by lottery. To enter the lottery, please register for the waitlist below. This waitlist will constitute the pool from which 15 names will be drawn randomly. Registration will open Friday, February 7 at 9AM and close Friday, February 21 at 5PM. Participants selected will be notified on Saturday, February 22.
