Join guide Stefanie Haug while exploring our neighborhood nature and celebrating Elderhood. As a group we'll connect with nature and the neighborhood mindfully with a gentle walk and draw on contemplative practices. What to bring: layered clothing, comfortable shoes and water. Albino Mbie is an award winning Musician, Guitarist, Singer, Composer, Sound and mixing engineer born in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, a country in southern Africa known for its rich musical and cultural heritage. In the event of rain or extreme heat, this event will be moved inside the Lecture Hall at the Main Library. All ages welcome. No registration is required.

Join us for a relaxed Saturday morning concert with Radius Ensemble! The concert, geared toward preschool children but appropriate for all ages, includes string quartets from around the globe, as well as a show-and-tell of the instruments of the string family. From Mozart to Scott Joplin, repertoire spans centuries and traverses continents, exposing children to a variety of musical traditions. Kids are welcome to snuggle, dance, sing, walk around and just be kids. For the final piece of this 45 minute program, we invite children to play along on hand percussion instruments (provided by the Ensemble) such as tambourines and claves, and each child receives a free colorful shaker to take home. Recommended for children ages 3 to 5 years with caregiver. This program can accommodate 130 people. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. This program starts promptly, and any unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting. We appreciate your patience and understanding. What's a zine? And how do I make one? Come find out! Kids are invited to explore making, copying, sharing, and swapping zines. Making zines will include activities like writing, drawing, and using a photocopier. For kids ages 7 and up. Snacks are provided! This week we will host guest artist Betsey Swardlick! Betsey Swardlick is a Providence-based cartoonist, teacher, and professional wrestler all struggling to live in the same body! WHO WILL WIN?? Betsey likes to make humorous comics about weirdos trying their best (or worst), fake newspapers, and assorted other multimedia spectacles.

The Lion Sisters are a sibling duo with Josi on fiddle and vocals, and Lily on guitar and vocals. They're from New Hampshire, known for tight sister harmonies and genre-blending sound that fuses folk, bluegrass, Irish fiddle, vintage country with a modern edge. PARK SOUNDS 2026 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages.
