What do you get when you mix honey, vinegar, ginger, horseradish, and whatever else hot and spicy you find in the back of your fridge? A powerful and delicious fire cider that can help our immune system kick out colds, flus and more. In this class, we will discuss the ingredients in fire cider, different recipes for different conditions, and when and how to use them (salad dressings! mocktails!). Mo Katz-Christy (they/them) is a queer Ashkenazi Jewish herbalist born and raised in Cambridge, MA on unceded Massachusett land. They approach herbalism by connecting folks to the knowledge they already have about their body and herbs through working with kitchen medicine, ancestral traditions, and mulberries falling on the sidewalk! Mo graduated from a three-year clinical herbalism program at the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism in 2022. They work one-on-one with clients to address the root imbalances that are causing dysregulation and to promote long-term healing, focusing on gut health. March 24 Class Cancelled Join us each Monday at the Central Square Branch for Chair Yoga, led by experienced instructor Louise Parker. This is an in-person program taking place in the Lewis Room at Central Square. Registration is required for each session. Louise Parker has been practicing yoga for close to 20 years. She is trained in the Yoga Shanti method of practice, which is rooted in the Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga traditions.

Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Snacks will be provided. For ages 7-9 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is One-Third Nerd by Gennifer Choldenko. When Liam and his two younger sisters find out they will have to give away their beloved (if unhousebroken) dog Cupcake or risk being kicked out of their apartment, they cook up extreme and hilarious schemes to keep the dog. Copies of this month's book are available at the Children's Desk. Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. We're excited to host our first community meeting for the Mass Ave Planning Study (MAPS) on Thursday, February 29 from 6 PM - 7:30 PM. The meeting will provide an introduction to the project; an opportunity for the community to learn more about the process; and a chance to talk with the planning team about Mass Ave! This meeting will be held virtually via Zoom.

Matching Set is a twin-led indie-folk band performing original songs with lush vocal harmonies and poetic lyrics.Their set features intimate compositions blending European and American influences. PARK SOUNDS 2026 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages.
