Cambridge Public Library is planning for the future, and your voice matters! Drop by to share your ideas, speak with library staff, and learn more about our recent accomplishments. Your feedback will help us improve services and set priorities for the coming years in our next strategic plan.

The Cambridge Office of Early Childhood, in partnership with The Zaentz Early Education Initiative at Harvard University, is gathering information from families who are pregnant or have children from birth to age three. Your answers will help us understand what families need, what is working, and what could be improved.

The City of Cambridge announced that on June 1, 2023, it will begin accepting applications for a new initiative called Rise Up Cambridge, which aims to alleviate poverty among struggling families in the city by building financial security. Rise Up will provide approximately 2,000 eligible families with $500 per month for 18 months.

You'll leave with materials and a pattern to finish your cross stitch piece after class. Registration required.

Join the Cambridge Commission on the Status of Women to wrap up our three-part tour series, Mapping Feminist Cambridge (MFC). Each tour covered one Cambridge neighborhood square, Central, Inman, or Harvard Square, highlighting the impact local individuals and organizations had on the feminist movement from 1970s-1990s

The Department of Public Works and the City's Community Development Department will be hosting an on-site Community Meeting on Wednesday, June 4 from 4-6 p.m. Anyone interested in attending can meet project staff at the corner of Chetwynd Road and Newell Street to discuss the Chetwynd Road Reconstruction Project.

The City of Cambridge announced it is extending outdoor dining in the City until 60 days after the end of the Commonwealth’s declared state of emergency. This announcement follows the Governor’s Executive Order last week, which gave cities and towns the flexibility to extend outdoor dining past the initial November 1 deadline.
