Harvard Book Store and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Amitav Ghosh—author of the bestselling Ibis Trilogy and the first English-language writer to win the Jnanpith Award, India’s highest literary honor—for a discussion of his highly anticipated new novel, Ghost Eye. He will be joined in conversation by Garnette Cadogan—Tunney Lee Distinguished Lecturer in Urbanism at the School of Architecture and Planning at MIT, and editor-at-large for Nonstop Metropolis. The City of Cambridge announced that, beginning Saturday, December 4, it is expanding its free COVID-19 testing program to five days per week. Through a new partnership with CIC Health, the City will launch a pilot appointment-only testing site by offering 300 appointments on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at CIC Health’s 295 Third Street location in Cambridge. In the coming weeks, the number of appointments at this pilot testing site will be expanded.
