The Climate Committee is a volunteer group of community members who work together to provide feedback and ideas to the City on topics related to climate change.

Prepare to be amazed and surprised by a presentation from the Poop Museum, where everyone learns many fantastic, fabulous and fun facts about human, animal and insect poop. Come join Rockabye Beats for an interactive, musical program experience! We'll sing, play, explore instruments, dance, pretend, learn a little Spanish, and show off our goofy side. For children of all ages and their caregivers. Working Group members will serve as community representatives to help guide the City Manager and staff on key issues related to the design of improvements to Danehy Park and help communicate the process and design of the project back to the larger community.

Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. Copies of the story will be provided, and no preparation is need. Please drop in! Join us during the partial solar eclipse and learn how to safely observe it! Eclipse glasses will be provided. Participants will also have the chance to explore a walkable model of the solar system and create a related craft. This program will happen outside. Join us for a lively discussion of a great book in person at the Main Library! Pizza will be provided. For ages 7-10 and a parent or caregiver. This month's book is Hoops by Matt Tavares, a historical fiction graphic novel follows the story of a girl’s basketball team in the 1970’s as they fight for the same treatment that the boy’s team receives. Both caregiver and child should read the book before the discussion to participate. Registration is required — only one registration is needed per family.
