Whittemore Avenue Area Traffic Calming
The 2011 reconstruction of Whittemore Avenue, Alewife Parkway to Magoun Street included traffic calming elements to reduce vehicle speeds and enhance safety for pedestrians
Technology for the Community Learning Center
Support students and teachers in an English as a Second Language class at a Community Learning Center (CLC) satellite location by purchasing Chrome Books, a projector, and a portable screen to enhance their learning experience. This class has been funded to be held at least for the next 4 years.
Pollinator Stories: How Native Gardens Build Community (O'Neill)
Join S-Cube Diplomacy and the O’Neill Branch Library for a multigenerational STEAM program exploring how plants, pollinators, soil, and people work together in a healthy native garden. Families, youth, adult learners, and community members will learn how pollinator gardens support biodiversity, climate awareness, and neighborhood connection through storytelling, observation, and hands-on reflection.
LGBTQ Seniors Housing Report
Phase one of the Seniors Housing project which is to assess Policies and Practices in Housing facilities with respect to LGBTQ Seniors. This report is on our work with the Cambridge Housing Authority.
Family Cookbook Book Group (Valente)
Children and their grown-ups are invited to this special kid-centered cookbook club!
This month, we're celebrating flatbreads of all varieties (pizzas included!) Bring a dish to share, or just come to talk about your experience with a chosen cookbook. No need to bring a dish to join. Visit Valente for a themed selection of cookbooks that are ready to check out.
