Healthy Aging and Public Transportation
Partnering with the Council on Aging, the Community Development Department conducted a series of community meetings with seniors focusing on “usability, mobility, and accessibility” to transit. The goal of each meeting was to engage seniors in a discussion about their experiences with public transit, including challenges, barriers, and opportunities.
Recycling Center
The Recycling Center is available to all Cambridge residents. Bring items that can't be recycled curbside for safe and efficient disposal.
Urban Agriculture Task Force
The Urban Agriculture Task Force is developing an ordinance that includes 1) zoning to explicitly allow agricultural activities, and, 2) regulations to support and limit activities.
Library Accessibility Services
Most library materials are obtainable in alternate formats, such as audio, e-reader, and large print. Monthly home delivery service of library materials is available to Cambridge residents who are unable to visit a library due to short-or long-term disability or infirmity.
