Build Two Bus Shelters
Install bus shelters at two bus stops. Locations will be selected to benefit the greatest number of riders. Providing accessible, safe, and comfortable shelters encourages use of public transportation and supports the City's environmental goals.
Register my bicycle
The Cambridge Police Department is no longer offering bicycle registrations. If you previously registered your bike with CPD, it will remain on file. However, bicyclists are encouraged to register their bikes with the Bike Index.
Building Permits
Anyone seeking to construct, alter, repair, or demolish a structure must first obtain a building permit. The building permit must be obtained before the start of any work and prominently posted at the job site.
Summer Sundays Ice Cream Party (Valente)
Come celebrate Summer Sundays at the Valente Branch and National Ice Cream Day with soft serve from Frosty Ice Cream. Listen to some summer tunes and learn about our all-ages summer reading!
Expanding Space for Street Trees
Help our environment by removing pavement to expand space for new and existing trees. Removing pavement provides more soil space for tree roots, helps trees live longer and healthier, improves drainage, and reduces city heat.
Pools and Swimming Resources
Residents can enjoy the two indoor pools at the War Memorial Recreation Center (1640 Cambridge St.) year-round. Gold Star Pool (123 Berkshire St.) is on outdoor pool open to the public during summer months.
All-In-One Mobile Performance Stage & Art Space
Spread the love and joy of arts and music in the city of Cambridge! Residents can bring world-class arts and musical performances to any city street, any time, regardless of age, race, or background.
