Cambridge to Host Sensory Friendly Touch-A-Truck 4-22
The Cambridge Police Department and local partners will be hosting a Touch-A-Truck event outside the Robert W. Healy Public Safety Building on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 11:00am - 2:00pm. In recognition of Autism Awareness / Acceptance Month this will be a sensory friendly event.
City of Cambridge to Advance to Phase III, Step 2 of Commonwealth's Reopening Plan on March 1, 2021, with Limited Exceptions
The City of Cambridge announced that, effective Monday, March 1, 2021, the City will advance with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to Phase III, Step 2 of the Commonwealth’s reopening plan, with limited exceptions. An Emergency Order will be issued today by the City prohibiting live musical performances at restaurants until further notice and delaying the opening of indoor performance venues until March 22, 2021. Prior to opening, indoor performance venues will also need approval from the City of Cambridge Inspectional Services Department.
City of Cambridge Announces Schedule Updates to Its COVID-19 PCR Testing Program for April
The City of Cambridge today announced the April schedule for its 7 days per week testing program, including walk-in and appointment-based testing options. Appointment-only testing, provided through a partnership with CIC Health, will continue be available 7 days per week at CIC Health’s 295 Third Street location to people who live or work in Cambridge.
City of Cambridge Partnership with Local Restaurants Provides Over 70,000 Meals to Homeless Residents
The City of Cambridge announced that it is extending its successful program for feeding homeless residents with meals provided by local food establishments through December 31, 2020. In March, the City launched an innovative project to contract with local restaurants to provide food to the City’s homeless community during the COVID-19 public health crisis. To date, over 70,000 meals have been provided and more than 2,800 meals are now being delivered each week to shelters across the City.
A Win for Housing Affordability as Cambridge City Council Adopts Changes to Incentive Zoning
The Cambridge City Council adopted an amendment to the Incentive Zoning Ordinance on October 17, 2022, which will increase funds for the City’s Affordable Housing Trust. This new amendment adds to the many tools Cambridge has put in place over the past few years to support affordable housing. Cambridge’s Affordable Housing Trust has commitments of more than $100 million to affordable housing developments currently underway to preserve or create more than 500 affordable homes when completed.

CPD Seeks Public Assistance to Locate a Missing Person with Complications
The Cambridge Police Department is seeking public assistance to locate and confirm the well-being of missing person with complications, Endy Reavis. Endy is described as a dark skinned 68-year-old, female, 5’9”, medium build, with salt and pepper hair. Last seen wearing a black raincoat, light pink button-down shirt, black sweatpants, a black beanie, leopard print socks, and white/black sneakers. Endy eloped from Mt Auburn Hospital on 6/11/2026 at approximately 6:10 PM. She left on foot in the direction of Harvard Square with no known destination. Endy suffers from dementia and is diabetic. She is not believed to have any identification, credit cards, money, or cellphone on her person.
