The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced that daytime concrete sidewalk repairs are taking place on Route 28 (McGrath Highway) northbound between Third Street and Rufo Road. Pedestrian detours started on September 30 and will remain in place at all times for approximately three weeks. During this time, the outbound bus stop opposite Twin City Plaza will be relocated to 201 Monsignor O’Brien Highway, just south of Third Street.

Celebrate one year of the Cambridge KiOSK with an afternoon of live music, participatory activities, and community gathering in Harvard Square. The event will mark the KiOSK’s first year as a site for visitor information, cultural programming, and community connection. Visitors are welcome to stop by throughout the afternoon. Program schedule: 12:00–3:00 PM: Participatory activities, including screenprinting and a seedling exchange 3:00–4:00 PM: Cambridge Symphony Orchestra ensemble performance 4:00–5:00 PM: Reception recognizing the artists, organizations, community members, and visitors who have helped shape the KiOSK’s first year Throughout the event, visitors will also be invited to share ideas for the KiOSK’s next year. On March 19, Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and City Manager Louis A. DePasquale activated the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund for Covid-19 to raise money for individuals and families impacted by the virus outbreak. Tomorrow, April 8, the City will be releasing the eligibility and distribution guidelines and application process for Cambridge residents to apply for funds donated to the Mayor’s Disaster Relief Fund. The City of Cambridge seeks to assist as many people as possible through these funds.
