Because COVID-19 cases in Cambridge have increased, and have surpassed the thresholds set in partnership with our scientific advisors, CPS will make a temporary shift to remote learning for all students beginning on Thursday, December 10.

The Baker-Polito Administration announced a new initiative, the Vax Express, to help further increase access to the COVID-19 vaccine, particularly in communities with low vaccination rates. To support Cambridge girls in exploring athletic opportunities, staff at the Women’s Commission and Cambridge Recreation collaborate to plan and host the annual Sports Night for Girls event, expanding each year to incorporate new athletic opportunities and connect with more families.

Hundreds of Cambridge residents have learned they were infected with COVID-19 or had been exposed to the new coronavirus after getting a call from public health nurses from the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD). Thousands more have received calls from CPHD staff informing them of negative test results.

Following recommendations from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Baker-Polito Administration today announced that Massachusetts children ages 6 months to 4 years old are now eligible to receive the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.
