The Community Development Department will hold an information and public comment session in preparation of the City’s FY2026 Annual Action Plan and FY2026-2030 Consolidated Plan. A Cambridge Police Officer shot an adult male, who preliminary information suggests, was in possession of a machete. The male was immediately rendered medical aid by officers until EMS arrived on-scene. He was then transported to a local hospital, where died from his injuries.

The Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP), also known as universal preschool, will provide free preschool to Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds beginning in the 2024-2025 school year.
