Cambridge College Success Initiative Celebrates 10 Years
The Cambridge College Success Initiative (CS) was created in 2014 to advance the college completion rate of Cambridge residents who are historically underrepresented in higher education, including immigrants, first-generation students, and students from low-income households.
Waverly St Extension and Path
This project reconstructed about 400 feet of the Waverly Street Extension along the Purrington rail spur to create a mixed-use path.
Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Replacement Project
The next intensive construction phase for the Massachusetts Department of Transportation’s (MassDOT) upcoming Commonwealth Avenue Bridge Replacement Project is scheduled to take place between July 26-August 11, 2018. As a result, Cambridge residents will also potentially be affected – to varying degrees -- by these service impacts. Pedestrians and bicyclists will have bridge access throughout construction, with some detours.
Summer Food Program
The Cambridge Summer Food Program provides free breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals to Cambridge youth 18 and under during the summer.

Fresh Pond Advisory Board Vacancy
The primary purposes of the Advisory Board are to oversee the general stewardship of Fresh Pond Reservation in accordance with the Master Plan and to maintain collaborative relationships among City departments and user groups that impact the Reservation. The Advisory Board also provides a forum for public discussion and evaluation of proposals for land-use and land-management projects.
