Today (August 23, 2021), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the first COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine has been known as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, and will now be marketed as Comirnaty (koe-mir’-na-tee), for the prevention of COVID-19 disease in individuals 16 years of age and older. The vaccine also continues to be available under emergency use authorization (EUA), including for individuals 12 through 15 years of age and for the administration of a third dose in certain immunocompromised individuals.

The Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP) is a publicly-funded program that provides free, high-quality preschool for Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds for a school-day, school-year placement. There are additional costs for full-day, full-year (including summer) programs for some families.

The Port is a high-density residential neighborhood with around seven thousand residents, bounded by Hampshire Street to the north, the Boston & Albany Railroad to the east, Prospect Street to the west, and Massachusetts Avenue to the south.

Through hands-on activities, we'll see how easy it is to create AI-generated images, voices, and videos and how hard it's becoming to tell the difference. Together we'll explore emerging trends in deepfakes and AI-generated content, real-world case studies of scams and misinformation, and practical strategies for protecting ourselves, our families, and our communities. No prior experience with Generative AI necessary. Open to ages 13 and up. Bring someone you trust - a friend, a grandparent, a neighbor!

Join us for a book discussion and hangout each month as we read books that celebrate the LGBTQIA+ experience. All readers age 12-15 welcome! Registration is required. It’s an act of rebellion to use your body in a public space, articulating power and transcending awkwardness or beauty. Two community workshops, led by Professor of Dance Christine Bennett, will involve movement as a path toward understanding and resiliency in our own bodies and community spaces. The workshops are appropriate for all movers ages 18 and up. Register for one or both workshops.

This spring, the Cambridge Early Childhood Math Group is kicking off the Math is Everywhere campaig, a social media campaign to help Cambridge caregivers and young children understand that math isn't just for school. It's everywhere, and it can be a lot of fun!

Join us at the Central Square Branch Library, or Virtually, for a midday-lunch break book group discussion. This book group will be rotating Mystery/Thriller and Science Fiction works.
