Heading Home, Inc., purchased a single-family home at 115-117 Rindge Avenue and converted it to 14 supportive SRO units for disabled, formerly homeless women.

On Tuesday, September 3 around 5:15 p.m., Cambridge Police responded to a retail business on the 700 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a credit card skimming device found on a payment terminal.

The City of Cambridge announced that it is extending its successful program for feeding homeless residents with meals provided by local food establishments through October 3, 2021. This summer Pajama Story Time will happen outside in the playground area at the Fresh Pond Apartments. In case of bad weather, the story time will happen inside the Community Room of 362 Rindge Ave. Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families.

As we head into cooler weather, it’s time to think about flu and COVID-19 risks. Flu season will soon be upon us. Spending more time indoors means that there’s more opportunity for COVID-19 to spread. To protect against these two threats, the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD) strongly recommends that residents get an annual flu vaccine AND stay up-to-date on COVID vaccinations and boosters.
