In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the basics of knitting, including how to cast on, do the knit stitch, and cast off. This workshop is intended for people with no prior knitting experience. All supplies will be provided!

Visually capture your own story in a short graphic novel format from story planning to character development and illustration. All materials are provided and no prior art experience is needed! Registration is required, and registering for the first session 8/4 includes the following sessions on Tuesdays, 4/11 and 4/18. This program is for ages 10-18. The City of Cambridge today announced the cancellation of the Annual City Dance Party that was scheduled to be held on June 26 in front of Cambridge City Hall, and announced that all City-sponsored community events, athletic events, events permitted for the use of City parks or other City-sponsored public gatherings will be cancelled through July 1, 2020 or postponed to a later date.

The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) regrets to announce the passing of retired police K-9 Kevin of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit. Kevin first joined the department in 2014 and was partnered with Officer Steve Lyons. Upon successfully completing a rigorous training course for explosive detection dogs, he went on to pass the ATF Odor Recognition test and achieved certification with the International Police Working Dog Association.
