June 19-22 Traffic Impacts
The City of Cambridge is notifying residents, businesses, and visitors of multiple temporary street closures throughout the week due to several community events. These include the Juneteenth Parade and Celebration, Saint Anthony Feast, Cambridge Arts River Festival, Hoops ‘N’ Health (rescheduled from last week), Cambridge Refugee Food Festival, and the Boston 10K.
Parks and Playgrounds
CDD's Community Planning Division conducts open space planning throughout the city and oversees major design, construction and renovation projects for Cambridge's parks and playgrounds. Community Planning staff also frequently consult with City departments and other groups on open space projects.
CPL Presents: The 2nd Annual Festive Fanfare with Boston Festival Orchestra (Main)

Join musicians of the Boston Festival Orchestra for "Festive Fanfare," a fun, family-friendly celebration of the season's joy and warmth at the Cambridge Public Library! Featuring violinist Jae Cosmos Lee and cellist Aron Zelkowicz, this festive concert will fill the air with beloved holiday classics, heartwarming melodies, and jubilant fanfares. Perfect for audiences of all ages, this free event celebrates holiday cheer and musical splendor! Light refreshments and treats will be provided.
Registration is not required but preferred.
This concert is cosponsored by the Friends of the Cambridge Public Library.
Park Sounds Presents: Reclaiming Folk (Main)
Join us in Joan Lorentz Park from 1-2:30 p.m. for a concert celebrating the roots of folk music with Reclaiming Folk, a concert series that celebrates and honors people of color in folk music, created by singer-songwriter Naomi Westwater.
Back by popular demand, this event will feature original compositions—performed by Valeria Orrantia, Anand Nayak, and Naomi Westwater—as well as cover songs that honor the musicians who came before, short interviews with the musicians about folk music, and time for a Q&A from the audience. Registration is not required.
CANCELED Family STEAM Night: Sink/Float (O'Neill)
Families with elementary school-age children join us for hands-on activities focused on Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math. Adults and children will learn and play together!
This month we will be experimenting with sink or float!
May 16 Weekend Road Closures

Events include Saint Anthony’s Santo Cristo Feast, Port Art Fest, the Peoples Party Music Festival, the 72nd Annual BB&N Circus, and Inman Eats & Crafts.
