The Cambridge Early Math Group is a partnership of organizations who care about math as a civil right. Together we work to support Cambridge families and young children around math literacy. Our goal is that all children (birth to eight years) and their families will engage in joyful math play. Celebrate Jasmine Warga's A Rover's Story with Mad Science's Radical Robots Workshop! Explore a world of robots and try your hand at building your own in this hour-long workshop. Recommended for children ages 5 and up. Registration is required. Please register all attending children (adults do not need to register). This event is part of a special series promoting our 2026 Curious George Lecture (CGL) with Jasmine Warga, award-winning author of A Rover's Story, Other Words for Home, and many other popular children's books. Funding is generously provided by the Cambridge Public Library Foundation.

Drag Queen Aurora will share their journey into drag and facilitate a discussion of queer experience and community celebration. There will also be a runway and folks are welcome to bring costumes or choose from our costume box. There will be snacks, music, and books about LGBTQ+ history!

The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. Our July book is The Weight of Nature: how a changing climate changes our brains by Clayton Page Aldern. Copies are available to pick up at the Q&A desk at the Main Library. This is a hybrid event.
