Deborah Sampson, a Massachusetts Revolutionary War heroine, disguised herself as a man and served in the Revolutionary War under the name Robert Shurtliff. She was also perhaps the first woman to lecture professionally in the United States.
Bow Tie Ride Returns Sunday, October 2
Ever notice that the City of Cambridge is in the shape of a bow tie? Join the Cambridge Bicycle Committee for a relaxed, scenic two-hour ride tracing the bow tie shaped boundaries of the city.
Chetwynd Road Reconstruction Project On-Site Community Meeting
The Department of Public Works and the City's Community Development Department will be hosting an on-site Community Meeting on Wednesday, June 4 from 4-6 p.m. Anyone interested in attending can meet project staff at the corner of Chetwynd Road and Newell Street to discuss the Chetwynd Road Reconstruction Project.
Bike Parking and Bike Repair Stations
Biking infrastructure doesn’t end with bike lanes. This project will construct a bike shelter with 20 covered spaces. Install 50 new bike racks with a capacity for 100 bikes and install 10 new bike repair stations.
