Meeting minutes of the Citizens' Committee on Civic Unity meeting held December 1st, 2015

Families with elementary school-age children join us for hands-on activities focused on Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math. Adults and children will learn and play together! This month we will be experimenting with sink or float!

Summer Reading Registration, Collins Reopening Celebration, Park Sounds, and More!

In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, historic naval vessels, legendary sails, and fleets from around the world will gather in Boston in 2026. Join the Cambridge Council on Aging for an unforgettable Boston Harbor experience aboard the Spirit of Boston Tall Ships cruise. Featuring skyline views and live expert narration of historic Tall Ships and a buffet lunch.

Join us on Wednesday, July 15 from 5-7 p.m. at Danehy Park (Sherman Street entrance) as we celebrate the completion of the City's Danehy Park Improvement Plan. There will be face painting, treats and more! The plan is a shared vision of the future of Danehy Park that guides improvements for the next 10-15 years.

Using embroidery hoops, participants will hand-stitch words of affirmation while learning basic sewing techniques. The workshop begins with a short conversation about sewing traditions across cultures, followed by guided demonstrations and hands-on practice. Recommended for ages 8+.

Drop in and learn the basics of rope tying, knotting, and lashing from local Troop 56! No experience required, these scouts will give hands on demonstrations for any learner. All ages are welcome, no tickets are required. Pizza will be provided.

Presented by Castle of our Skins, "A Little History" is a 60 minute interactive recital that tells the simplified stories of nine legendary figures in Black History through original music, poetry, and engagement. Recommended for school-age children and their caregivers.

The Affordable Housing Trust will hold its monthly meeting in-person and via Zoom webinar.
