Short Story Reading Group [Central Square]
Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. This months story is "Crossover" by Octavia Butler. No preparation needed!
Copies of the story are available for pick up at the Central Square Branch.
Registration is helpful but not required!
Summer Reading Kickoff Celebration: Plant a seed, read! (O'Neill)
Join us outdoors at the O'Neill Branch to celebrate the end of the school year and the start of the summer! Pick up a "blossom kit" (small growing kit with seeds) while supplies last.
We will also have food, games and art. No registration is required. All ages are welcome!
In case of rain or bad weather this event will be inside the O'Neill Branch.

District Attorney Announces Arrest of Edward J. Watson in 1992 Cold Case Murder of Michelle Miller
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Cambridge Police Commissioner Christine Elow announced today that thirty-two years after the crime occurred, Edward J. Watson, 65, of Mattapan, has been arrested for the murder of Michelle Miller. Miller, a former
U.S. Army soldier was 29 years old when she was last seen alive in Central Square, Cambridge. Her body was found in the basement of a vacant apartment two weeks later, when a neighbor complained of a foul odor.

Come talk about a different series each week, and get crafty with it! Make a button or bookmark, or draw your favorite characters. Recommended for ages 5-8. Children under age 7 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
