Extended reality (XR) opens the door to worlds and experiences outside the everyday through virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality equipment. Test drive our Microsoft HoloLens augmented reality glasses, Structure Sensor 3D scanner, Merge headsets, and more. Registration is required. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.

Children and families can join us for a story time and exploration around the outdoor space around the Library to look for plant and animal life. Because of the weather, this program will happen inside the O'Neill Branch. This story time is presented as part of the Cambridge Public Library Nature Club.

Preceding our October 13th discussion of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight, join us for a free screening of the 2008 film adaptation starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Everyone is welcome, so please feel free to bring friends! We encourage audience participation! Quote reciting is a must for Twilight! Popcorn and drinks will be provided.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Countering Consumerism Book: The Day the World Stops Shopping: How Ending Consumerism Save the Environment & Ourselves by J.B. After the story, participants can interact with a robot dog! No registration required. Recommended for ages 0-7 with a caregiver.
