Create your very own one-page tabletop role playing game. In this two-session class, you will learn how to design your own game from scratch. The Cambridge Early Math Group is a partnership of organizations who care about math as a civil right. Together we work to support Cambridge families and young children around math literacy. Our goal is that all children (birth to eight years) and their families will engage in joyful math play. This is one of the paths to developing a positive math mindset and becoming a life-long math learner.

The shelter, part of the Commonwealth’s Emergency Assistance Family Shelter system, is designed for eligible families in Massachusetts who are experiencing homelessness (eligible families must have children under 21 years of age and/or individuals who are pregnant) to stay while they work with case managers to find and move into stable, permanent housing.

We are seeking Cambridge families with children ages 4–10 years to pilot Math! Everywhere!, an exciting math app that encourages your child to explore fun, interactive math tasks — right in your neighborhood. The app, created by local organization MathTalk, supports the goals of the Early Childhood Math Group facilitated by the Cambridge STEAM Initiative.
