CPL Nature Club: Danehy Park Winter Plant Walk (O'Neill)
Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy for a meander through Danehy park to meet wintertime city plants and explore their medicinal uses! We will explore weeds and cultivated plants, trees and shrubs, and have lots of space for questions and conversation. Bring a notebook if you like, and meet us at the parking lot on Sherman Street (if you're late you should be able to find us -- we won't move too far too fast!). Registration is required. This event has been rescheduled from 2/27/25
Live at the Library: Rosalita's Puppets: Puppet-Making Workshop (Main)
Join us for a 60-minute puppet-making workshop following the performance of, Enchanted Castle, by Rosalita's Puppets. For children ages 5 and up and their caregivers. This program can accommodate 30 children. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. This program starts promptly. Unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please call 617-349-4038 for more information.
Summer Reading: Live Animal Program with Harvard Alpaca Ranch (O'Neill)
Alpacas from the Harvard Alpaca Ranch will be visiting the library for an educational program and meet and greet. Join us to learn more about alpacas and take some time to say hello! This event is intended for school-age children. No registration required.
This event will be held outside, with a rain date of Aug. 15 at 11 a.m.

Roadway Paving of Various Locations on October 4th and 5th
Beginning September 26th, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, E J Paving, will be performing partial roadway milling (grinding) and paving operations to enhance the road conditions on several sections of streets around the City. The roadway grinding operation at each location is expected take two days followed by paving of the roadway later that same week, or the following week (weather permitting).
