The Department of Human Service Programs (DHSP) offers summer camps and programs to Cambridge children and youth in Kindergarten through 8th grade. At these summer camps, children and youth learn new skills, make connections, and have fun! Activities include art, sports, swimming, field trips, and more. All DHSP summer camps and programs are filled through a lottery process. The online application process closes Sunday March 3.

Harvard Book Store and the Cambridge Public Library welcome Gaelynn Lea—folk musician, Broadway composer, and disability advocate—for a discussion of her new memoir, It Wasn't Meant to Be Perfect. She will be joined in conversation by Adrian Anantawan—violinist, current Chair of Music at Milton Academy, the Artistic Director of Shelter Music Boston, and Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music—and Colleen Flanagan—longtime activist for disability rights, working at the City of Boston Mayor's Commission for Persons with Disabilities as the Outreach and Engagement Specialist. The Department of Public Works and Adius Arts Initiative are presenting the fourth annual Arts in the Park event on Saturday, September 27, 2025, as part of a continued celebration of local art and The Port Infrastructure Improvements Project currently underway. The Cambridge Hip-Hop Collective will bring together the Hip-Hop, RnB and Electronic Dance Music communities in this collaborative event at the Urban Park (UP) roof garden in Kendall. In addition to live sets from some frequent Cambridge venue performers like Sun.Sets.Boston, The Modular Troupe will be bringing a live 5-piece band playing smooth RnB and Hip-Hop classics with featured performances from local singers and rappers.
