The Cambridge Department of Public Works invites you to celebrate Arbor Week April 22-26, featuring activities, information, and giveaways that promote the City's Urban Forest.

The City of Cambridge is pleased to announce the release of the 5-year Affordable Housing Trust Report detailing Trust-funded development of affordable housing from Fiscal Year 2021-Fiscal Year 2025.

As the City considers projects and programs to be implemented using its allocation, the City wants to ensure that planned uses of the funding incorporate input and feedback from constituents, community-based organizations, and other community stakeholders. As such, you are invited to submit initiative ideas for City consideration using the below form. The form is tailored so that submitted ideas are consistent with the minimum range of funding use options as established by ARPA and U.S. Treasury regulations.

In 2023, the City of Cambridge designated a new position within the Emergency Communications Department; a 911 Call Center Clinician. This is a new, unique public safety position as it places a mental health professional directly inside the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) alongside dispatchers.

The CDC reported that Middlesex County has entered the High COVID-19 Community Level. Community Levels are determined by a combination of reported COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations due to COVID-19.

The Crisis Negotiations Unit consists of specially trained officers who are prepared to deal with people who have taken someone hostage or have barricaded themselves within a building or similar setting.

Join us for a relaxed Saturday morning concert with Radius Ensemble! The concert, geared toward preschool children but appropriate for all ages, features a delightful abridged version of Prokofiev's Peter & the Wolf (at the end of which the wolf, instead of meeting his demise, is taken to the zoo), plus also other silly songs about animals, as well as a show-and-tell of the instruments of the woodwind family. For the final piece of this 45-minute program, children are invited to play along on hand percussion instruments such as tambourines and claves, and each child receives a free colorful shaker to take home. Recommended for children ages 3 to 5 years with caregiver. This program can accommodate 130 people. Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis on the day of the program. The entire party must be present to receive a ticket. This program starts promptly, and any unclaimed seats will be offered to someone waiting. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Guests of all ages are welcome to the intergenerational night, featuring a DJ, live visuals, and interactive activities, with snacks from Amba Cafe and tea—on the house.
