The Community Development Department will hold an information and public comment session in preparation of the City’s FY2026 Annual Action Plan and FY2026-2030 Consolidated Plan. The purpose of the session is to solicit public comments on affordable housing, economic development, public service and other community development needs as they relate to low and moderate-income Cambridge residents, and HOPWA qualifying residents across Middlesex and Essex counties.

You’re invited to our November Brewery Book Club, where Lamplighter and the Cambridge Public Library team up to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices while having a beer. We meet at Lamplighter Brewing Co., 284 Broadway, in the back taproom. This month we’ll read We Will be Jaguars: A Memoir of My People by Nemonte Nenquimo. Our Merlin Missions book group is for Magic Tree House fans ages 5-10 who are ready for these longer adventures about Jack and Annie! This December, applications will open for the Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP), a joint initiative of the City and Cambridge Public Schools, which will offer free school-day, school-year preschool to every 4-year-old in Cambridge and some 3-year-olds.

The City of Cambridge Pandemic Collaborative is offering a vaccine clinic on Sunday, May 23 at CambridgeSide Mall using the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine. This clinic is free and open to all people 18 years of age and older who live and work in Cambridge.

The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) is aware of and actively investigating an incident that occurred during a protest in Harvard Sq. on Sunday, August 10th. The incident, which is depicted in a widely circulated social media video, shows a motorist brandishing an axe during an altercation with protesters.
