Join us for stories and a craft to celebrate the shortest day of the year. Come read, sing, craft and welcome back the light!

On Friday, September 11 at 9:50 a.m., every open Cambridge firehouse will hold a brief 10-minute, synchronized ceremony open to the public.

Every month we will read and discuss a short story as a group. This months story is "Uncle Robert Rides the Lightning" by Kate Hart, included in the anthology Never Whistle at Night. No preparation needed! Copies of the story will be available for pick up at the Central Square Branch. Registration is helpful but not required!

Celebrate the end of summer with neighbors old and new! We will have games, crafts, music and light refreshments. You may bring a picnic dinner if you choose. All neighbors of any age are welcome. This event will happen outside. In case of rain or bad weather there will be modified activities inside the O'Neill Branch.

People of all ages who enjoy children's books can read and discuss together. Food will be provided. This month we will be reading and discussing New Kid by Jerry Craft. Please pick up a copy of the book beforehand at the O'Neill Branch Library. This book group will meet in person at the O'Neill Branch Library. Please register below.
