CPR Class for Parents and Caregivers
This CPR class will cover life-saving skills for infants, children and adults. We will use multi-media and hands-on practice to be sure students acquire skills and confidence to assist in a life-saving medical situation. This class will also cover training and the use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for all ages, along with life-saving skills in choking situations. Students will receive their certificate upon completion of class. Please note that the City is not responsible for the content or training equipment. Once the program begins, we will fill in open spots from a day-of waiting list until the program reaches capacity. Session 2 (October 1): Practical Tools for Planning Ahead This session walks through what documents, decisions and systems to have in place, how to choose the right support and how to organize your financial and digital life so someone can step in if needed. Session 3 (October 15): Taking Action: Mindset, Legacy, and Making it Stick Here we'll address the emotional barriers that keep us stuck, reframing planning as something we do for ourselves and not a sign of decline. This is a virtual presentation and a link will be provided one hour before each program. Presented in partnership with Cambridge Neighbors.

I Can Move Mountains: a Written and Spoken Word Poetry Workshop (Main)
You don't have to be a poet to have something to say. In this generative writing workshop, led by poet Anthony Febo, participants will explore a variety of ways to fill the blank page with poetry that is reflective of their own lived experience. Performance tools will be weaved throughout the workshop to give participants the confidence to share their work at the end. This event is reserved for teens. Advance registration is encouraged.

Pajama/Costume Story Time (O'Neill)
Come to the library in your pajamas (or a fun costume!) to listen to stories, read with your children, and enjoy a snack before bed! This program is recommended for children of all ages and their caregivers. Pajama Story Time is presented by the Cambridge Public Library and the Center for Families.
