We invite children and their grown-ups to join us for a special Women's History Month evening story time event. This program will run for 20-25 minutes, with songs, stories and rhymes. No registration is required. Please call 617-349-4019 for more information.

The Expressive Healing Group is a support group co-facilitated by the Central Square Branch Manager, Ruby Vail, and the Library Social Worker, Brett Dixon, that offers a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore healing and self-expression through the art of creative writing.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Topic: Decarbonizing the Future Book: Electrify: an optimist's playbook for our clean energy future by Saul Griffith Registration is encouraged, but not required. Hive Teen Hangout, Kids' Paint Workshop, Family Movie Night, and More!

The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our October meeting, we will discuss H is for Hope by Elizabeth Kolbert. Families with elementary school-age children join us for hands-on activities focused on Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering and Math. Adults and children will learn and play together! In December, Science Heroes will present "Adventure of the Missing Color!" Through hands-on experiments and fun, interactive stories, kids will get excited about the science that’s all around us as we celebrate the scientists who color our world with art! Featuring amazing experiments all about: chemical reactions laws of motion air pressure and more!
