Learn the basics of beaded jewelry making and the difference between semi-precious stones and precious stones. Participants will keep all pieces they make.
This will be an in-person program at the Central Square Branch - Lewis Room. Space is limited to 10 participants.

Massachusetts Department of Public Health Releases Updated Mask Advisory
The Department of Public Health (DPH) released updated guidance regarding the use of masks and face coverings in the Commonwealth. Recognizing that Massachusetts is a national leader in vaccination rates with over 84 percent of eligible residents fully vaccinated and over half of adults boosted, and in light of recent improvements in COVID-19 indicators, effective July 1, 2022, the new guidance advises that masks indoors are optional for most individuals, regardless of vaccination status.
Baker-Polito Administration Travel Order of August 1 Updated
All visitors and Massachusetts residents returning home, including students returning to campuses for fall semester, must fill out a “Massachusetts Travel Form” and quarantine for 14 days unless they are coming from a COVID-19 lower risk state or can produce a negative COVID-19 test result administered no more than 72 hours prior to arriving in Massachusetts. Effective Friday, August 7, Rhode Island is no longer listed as a lower-risk state.
Danehy Track and Field Construction Project
The track and field, installed in 2012, are at the end of their useful life and need to be replaced. The scope of work will include the replacement of the synthetic turf field and the track, as well as upgrades to the adjoining amenities including team benches, bleachers, and shot put and discus throwing areas.

Apply for a Park Permit
A park permit is required for any non-athletic events in City parks or public areas and must be obtained through The Department Public Works. If you are looking to reserve an athletic field or use of Danehy Park please call the Recreation Department at (617) 349-6238.
Reading with a Duck from Land's Sake Farm (O'Neill)
Learn about the ducks that live at Land’s Sake Farm. We will have a story time and activity, then children can touch and interact with a live duck. This program will happen outside. In case of rain or bad weather it will be inside the O'Neill Branch.
This program is for children of all ages with a caregiver. Registration is required. When registering, please list how many children are attending. Adults do not need to be included in the numbers for registration
