To provide opportunities for residents to stay out of the extreme heat this week, the City of Cambridge is opening a cooling center beginning on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, and welcoming people to come cool down in certain city buildings. The City of Cambridge announced that, beginning Saturday, February 5, 10,000 COVID-19 rapid at-home test kits and 20,000 high-quality KF94 masks will be available for the public to pick up at the Main Library, City Hall, and multiple Fire Stations across the City during select dates and times while supplies last.

Cannabis Business permits are issued by the Inspectional Services Department. Anyone seeking to open a Cannabis Retail Store or operate as a Cultivator, Product Manufacturer, and/or Transporter in Cambridge must obtain a Cannabis Business permit.

The City of Cambridge announced that it is extending its successful program for feeding homeless residents with meals provided by local food establishments through September 5, 2021. In March 2020, the City launched an innovative project to contract with local restaurants to provide food to the City’s homeless community during the COVID-19 public health crisis.
