The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) are announcing overnight closures of Storrow Drive eastbound and Soldiers Field Road eastbound from North Harvard Street to Mugar Way in Boston.

Following a Vacancy Recount of the 2,860 ballots credited to Akriti Bhambi in the 2021 School Committee Election, Caroline M. Hunter was elected to the Cambridge School Committee for the remainder of the 2022-2023 term.
Reopening of Roadways Near 221 Mount Auburn Street
The City of Cambridge will reopen Sparks Street and Mount Auburn Street and lift all detours related to the 221 Mt. Auburn Street demolition. Normal traffic patterns will be restored on April 17, 2026.
Cambridge Preschool Program Application Opens on December 1.
The Cambridge Preschool Program (CPP), also known as universal preschool, will provide free preschool to Cambridge 4-year-olds and some 3-year-olds beginning in the 2024-2025 school year. CPP will offer families a streamlined, single application process where they can apply to a variety of Cambridge-based preschool programs.
Families can apply to CPP from December 1 – January 15.
