Many Cambridge residents are now eligible for booster shots, including children age 12 and older. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported this week that 38% of Cambridge residents have received a booster. With the Omicron variant widely circulating, the Cambridge Public Health Department urges you to get this additional dose. In the face of increasing cases in the community, the additional protection provided by the booster is critical to stopping the spread of COVID-19.

A series of classes with instruction from Comedian Jack Grey. Learn how to seamlessly integrate interactive improv games, scenes, and skillful storytelling that all come together with performance. The 10-week course will occur every Thursday, 1:30pm-3:30pm, starting February 27 through May 1. The final class will now take place on May 15. No class on May 1 or May 8. This will be an in-person program at the Main Library. Space is limited to 15 participants. Due to the popularity and to gain the most out of this program, we expect all participants to commit to all sessions in this 10-week course. Instructor Jack Grey is a local comedy performer with over nine years of combined improv and stand-up comedy experience. Cambridge residents can create a free Emergency Health Profile to assist first responders in an emergency.

Unfortunately, due to the large demand and associated costs, we don't issue patches or coins as a matter of policy. However, the Cambridge Police Patrol Officers Association is selling limited edition commemorative Cambridge Police patches, stickers and face coverings.

Due to the popularity of Sifu Diaz's classes, we expect participants to attend all sessions and participation in this program will be decided by lottery. Join us in this twelve-week Tai Chi Paradigm practice, which focuses on the mind and body connection. Tai Chi is a fluid sequence of movements choreographed in a low impact routine. This is an in-person event in the Program Room at the Valente Branch. Finalized dates will be announced closer to the program to accommodate early voting. To enter the lottery, please register for the waitlist below. This waitlist will constitute the pool from which 15 names will be drawn randomly. Registration will open Wednesday, July 22 at 9 am and close Wednesday, August 12 at 5PM. Participants selected will be notified on Friday, August 14.
