The Community Development Department (CDD) has partnered with CultureHouse and the Cambridge Office for Tourism to activate the historic Kiosk in Harvard Square. The kiosk will be a community space featuring informational services and a variety of community programming.

This report examines the feasibility of the City of Cambridge implementing a municipal fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) service and finds that for the City to construct an FTTP network and establish a financially sustainable business—meaning one that covers its costs and generates a reasonable rate of return over a long period—a significant public contribution would be required. In a base-case scenario that applies conservative construction cost assumptions and reasonable revenue projections, the network could require an upfront public capital contribution of $150 million.

Install 10 shaded benches with solar power charging stations around Cambridge. This project will improve the daily quality of life for pedestrians. These solar benches will allow people to sit out of the sun and charge their electronic devices.

Cambridge hosts many outdoor events each year. Accessible mats can lay over unpaved terrain to ensure that more people can enjoy the beautiful green space of these events. These mats support families with strollers, wheelchairs, and other mobility aids.

E-cargo bikes help City staff maintain our urban canopy. During droughts and heat waves, E-cargo bikes transport equipment across Cambridge to water trees. Purchasing three new E-cargo bikes would expand the City’s ‘water-by-bike’ program.

Tales from Toledo, Storyteller Tony Toledo that is. Once upon a time...THE END. You won’t believe what happens in the middle! From "What's in that House?" to "Give me back my Diamond Button!" the middle will be full of fun. Join us for a lively storytelling program for children and their caregivers. Tony Toledo has been telling stories to pay his rent since the end of the 20th Century. Tony has visited many libraries, told many stories, and passed out many riddle bookmarks. Tony grew up in Ohio, served in the Army, bicycled from Oregon to Virginia, sampled Law School, hosts his annual Corn Party In Beverly and loves peach pie more than chocolate cake.
