Creating an outdoor volleyball court would be an exciting addition to the city, especially since there is not currently an outdoor court in all of Cambridge! The court would have sand and a sturdy net for three-season usage.

The City of Cambridge plans to install quick-build separated bike lanes on Main Street between Massachusetts Avenue and Portland Street in 2023 and will launch the project with a virtual community meeting and in-person open house in March.

Let’s talk about your favorite comics! Bring in a graphic novel and share your thoughts on why it’s great – or even why it’s terrible. Each month will feature a different reading challenge – you get to pick any comic that you think matches the theme! Celebrate comics with snacks, books, and maybe even the chance to make one yourself! This month’s theme, bring in your favorite comic and tell us why you love it. Snacks are provided. PARK SOUNDS 2026 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages. Immerse yourself in the magic and medicine of mint! Join herbalist Mo Katz-Christy at the O'Connell Branch Library for an hour and half of learning all about this powerful plant. We will connect with mint through smell, taste, drawing, science, and storytelling. Move beyond "mint for a stomachache" and learn all about the chemistry of why and how mint is able to have such a profound effect on our body. This class is for anyone, beginner or experienced, who wants to build a closer relationship with mint! Registration is required.

The Main Library "Healthy Mouth, Healthy Life" workshop has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience. The Harvard School of Dental Medicine’s Students for Smiles Club and the Cambridge Public Library are hosting a free community event on oral health. Attendees will learn how to brush and floss the right way through a short talk and hands-on practice. The program will also share simple tips for preventing common dental problems and explain when to see a dentist. Free toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and local dental care resources will be available for everyone.

Gold Star Pool, located at 123 Berkshire Street, is open every summer for Cambridge residents to enjoy open swim. The facility has two ADA-compliant pools: a Beginner Pool (maximum depth of 3-6 ft.) and a Lap Pool.
